The Dark Disciples sure are weak. Yes, they're powers are indeed powerful and some are even frightening but fundamentally, as mages, they're weak. They're only satisfied with the amount of power that they currently have and spend no time to try and evolve it. That's the reason why they lost to the Clover Kingdom mages. They are too complacent in their magic and always expects that they're more powerful than everyone. So when they get overpowered unexpectedly, they can't counter since that was the extent of their powers.

The Dark Triad on the other hand though is well, different. They're similar to the Dark Disciples in a sense but they are still very powerful because they're complete psychopaths lol.

The elves were way more of a threat than the Dank Disciples, let's be real. Licht could probably wipe the floor with all of them.

Dude Julius and Lumiere would clap the spirit gaurdians. They don't have the drip except for Gaja. The dark disciples are only strong because of the devils other than that they can be clapped. Of course they wouldn't even be worthy of notice from the god Sekke.

It's not that the Dark disciples are necessarily weak. As you saw, 2 were almost able to clear out Golden Dawn. If Yuno didnt show up they would've probably been wiped out. It's to 'show the training results. Everyone has just gotten a lot stronger.

That was a cool fight. Leopold vs. the sniper magic guy I mean. I really like how there's a mage who can act as a sniper in this anime.

Though, it would've been better if he was a support mage. His magic would've been absolutely powerful if it was paired with an excellent close range magic. Too bad that didn't and probably won't happen though :(
